Friary Judo Awards – 7pm
We are pleased to annouce that James Austin will be visiting the club on December 9th. James is from Lichfield and competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the -100 kg event. In 2013 he won the World Cup in Minsk, the European Cup in Bratislava and came second in the British Championships (trials) in Sheffield. This year he also took bronze in the Pan American Open in Uruguay.

On Saturday 31st January 2015 we have our local MP Michael Fabricant is coming to judo.
Please put this date in your diaries so that we can have a good session with as many members of the club there as possible.
Congratulations to Ross Fellows on gaining his 1st Dan last weekend. Well done!!
The next gradings will be held on Saturday 6th Deceember – please remember to bring your judo licence (it must be in date) and £10 for the grading.

Congratulations to all who took part in the British Masters this weekend. Club coaches Richard Johnson and Matthew Harte both won medals – Rich winning a bronze and Matthew a silver medal.
Darrell Mawle won a bronze in the kyu grades and Ross Fellows also got bronze in the 1st kyu’s. Paul Jarvis won one fight in a tough group. Everyone fought really well and Ross got 20 points!
