The Friary Judo Club is based in Lichfield and has been running for about 17 years and offers Judo for both Juniors (ages 6 upwards) and Seniors (ages 16 upwards). The club has a friendly atmosphere and caters for Judo at all levels. Please feel free to come and visit / watch and join in.
Beginners wishing to try Judo can join in at any time, we have some Judo suits that we can lend out for those interested in starting or just wanting to see if they wish to start up Judo properly.
The club runs training sessions – on Tuesdays 6-7:15 pm for Juniors and 7:15-9 pm for Seniors and also on Saturday Mornings 10am-12noon for Juniors & Seniors.
The Club has won two “Awards for All” National Lottery grants in getting the club up and running and building up a senior section enabling the club to offer Judo for all levels and all ages.
The Friary Judo Club is affiliated to the British Judo Association, the UK’s governing body of Judo that represents British Judo in the International Judo Federation and was awarded the British Judo Association Clubmark Accreditation in 2010. The club was successfully revalidated in November 2013 and continues to hold the Bronze Clubmark Accreditation.
